When Nicki Minaj hit us with the "Which bitch you know made a million off a mixtape?" line in Drake's
Up All Night it struck a cord in me. I dont know too many people that DONT keep up with music but for those who dont...album sales are for the industry and their numbers but mixtapes are for the fans and to keep artist relevant. There have been soo many mixtapes out in the past year alone, something for everyone, down to R&B. Just yesterday Wale released his work of art, More About Nothing. Im not an avid Wale listener but his mixtape is hittin and he raps with purpose, something I cant help but to respect. If you haven't heard it yet, take a listen:
